Meals

Students must bring a lunch and two healthy snacks each day they attend school.

School lunches may also be ordered for an additional charge:

  • Child-size portion: $3 per meal
  • Adult-size portion: $6 per meal

Lunch menu options are available in the front office.

Lunch Packing

What Should I Pack for My Child’s Lunch?

A balanced lunch helps children stay energized, focused, and ready to learn. Parents should choose several items from the food groups below and provide water as the primary drink.

Fruits

  • Apple slices
  • Banana
  • Grapes, cut appropriately for the child’s age
  • Strawberries
  • Orange slices
  • Unsweetened applesauce

Vegetables

  • Baby carrots
  • Cucumber slices
  • Bell pepper strips
  • Cherry tomatoes, cut appropriately for the child’s age
  • Steamed broccoli
  • Corn or peas

Whole Grains

  • Whole-wheat bread
  • Whole-grain crackers
  • Whole-wheat tortilla
  • Brown rice
  • Whole-grain pasta
  • Mini whole-wheat bagel

Protein Foods

  • Turkey or chicken slices
  • Hard-boiled egg
  • Tuna salad
  • Hummus
  • Beans or lentils
  • Nut or seed butter, if permitted under the school’s allergy policy

Dairy and Healthy Sides

  • Low-fat cheese
  • Plain or low-sugar yogurt
  • Cottage cheese
  • Unsweetened fortified soy yogurt
  • Air-popped popcorn for older children
  • Homemade low-sugar oatmeal muffin

Lunch-Packing Reminders

Please pack child-sized portions and avoid excessive candy, soda, chips, and highly processed foods.

Parents must check the school’s allergy policy before sending foods containing peanuts, tree nuts, or other common allergens.

Perishable foods should be packed in an insulated lunchbox with at least two cold sources, such as freezer packs or a frozen water bottle.
