Christine Thompson

Christine Thompson

Co-Director

Christine Thompson is an accomplished educator, entrepreneur, and visionary leader with nearly two decades of experience in Christian education and organizational leadership. Alongside her husband of more than 30 years, Richard “Rick” Thompson, she has built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others. Together, they have raised five wonderful children while dedicating their lives to strengthening families and investing in future generations.

Christine is passionate about creating opportunities that empower individuals, families, and communities to thrive. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in servant leadership, biblical principles, and the belief that education extends far beyond academics.

She is committed to equipping the next generation with the knowledge, character, faith, and life skills necessary to become compassionate leaders who positively influence the world around them. Through her work, she seeks to inspire others to live with purpose, build strong families, pursue excellence, and create a lasting impact for generations to come.

Christine’s mission is to empower people to live by faith, lead with integrity, and leave a legacy that transforms lives.

Ms. Susie Brower

Academy Classroom Teacher

Ms. Susie Brower has served as an instructor in our Academy Classroom for 10 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Among her most treasured professional recognitions are the Disney Teacherrific Award, received in 2002, and the Disney Helping Hand Award, received in 2004.

Ethics & Reporting Misconduct

At Sorrento Bright Future Academy, the safety, health, and well-being of every student is our highest priority. All educational support employees, instructional personnel, school administrators, staff members, and agents of the school are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.

Reporting Misconduct

All employees and staff members have a duty to report any alleged misconduct by educational support employees, instructional personnel, or school administrators that affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.

Examples of misconduct may include, but are not limited to:

  • Obscene or inappropriate language
  • Drug or alcohol use on campus or during school activities
  • Disparaging comments, prejudice, or bigotry
  • Sexual comments, sexual innuendo, or inappropriate physical contact
  • Physical aggression
  • Cheating, testing violations, or falsifying records
  • Accepting or offering inappropriate favors
  • Any behavior that may endanger the health, safety, or welfare of a student

How to Report Misconduct

Reports of misconduct should be made immediately to:

If the concern involves the Director, the report should be made to the Alternate Contact Person. Reports may be made verbally or in writing. The school will review all reports promptly and take appropriate action consistent with school policy and applicable law.

Reporting Child Abuse, Abandonment, or Neglect

All employees and agents of the school have an affirmative duty to report all actual or suspected cases of child abuse, abandonment, or neglect.

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 first.

Penalties for Failure to Report

Educational support employees, instructional personnel, school administrators, and other staff members who fail to report suspected or actual child abuse, abandonment, neglect, or alleged misconduct by another employee or administrator may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Failure to report may also result in penalties under Florida law, including possible loss of certification, professional discipline, criminal penalties, or other legal consequences where applicable.

No Confidentiality Agreements to Conceal Misconduct

Sorrento Bright Future Academy will not enter into any confidentiality agreement or take any action that has the purpose or effect of concealing misconduct by educational support employees, instructional personnel, or school administrators that affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.
